The fair board holds regular meetings the 2nd Monday of every month at 7 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. During the warm months we meet in the Veteran's Memorial Building and during the colder months we meet at the Ag Center.
The next meeting will be Monday, July 13. Social distancing will be implemented.
The 2020 Faribault County Fair Board has made the difficult decision to postpone the fair until 2021. We put it off as long as we could, hoping things would change. 77 fairs in our state and the state fair cancelled before us. The shut down happened just as we were starting to seek sponsorships. The fair depends on our local business' support and they were hit hardest. We lost a lot of volunteers who work in the open class buildings. Our carnival wasn't going to make the trip. Our EMT services were possibly not going to be able to be on the grounds. We don't know what the end of July is going to hold and if we are limited to a certain amount of people gathering...well that doesn't work at a fair. These are just a few of the things we had to consider. We can't afford to have a less attended event so we made the difficult decision to postpone. We are already planning for July 28-31, 2021. We know there are many of you that are disappointed and we are too. After all, we all love the fair so much, we're on the board. If you'd like to help next year, please contact a board member. Our contact information is on the Contact tab above.
See you in 2021!! Stay safe.
